|  M1134 Stryker ATGM This is my completed AFV Club M1134 Stryker ATGM, took me about 4 months on and off. 1. I experimented with color modulation (CM) since its quite a popular discussion on the Internet and I wanted to try first hand how it looks. I would say I definitely need more practise... baby steps.. please don't reference me... hehehe  Uploaded with ImageShack.us2. The light scratches all over the vehicle is done using sponge only since I don't have the skills to do it convincingly using paintbrush. The mud is applied with Tamiya Texture Paint and then when its dried, I layered with powdered pigments. The texture paint is really good if you want to 'push' some mud into the tread patterns of the wheels.  Uploaded with ImageShack.us3. The straps for the water and fuel cans are done using strips of paper secured with white glue, AFV Club did provide PE straps but I keep breaking them off the vehicle, so I decided to try another method.  Uploaded with ImageShack.us4. The TOW missile launcher could be rotated and elavated, but many online reviewers commented that it can't be done. You just need to study the plan careful and know where to apply the glue and it will work beautifully. The commander's machine gun can be rotated too.  Uploaded with ImageShack.us5. All the wheels touch the floor, AFV Club really shines in this area because the transmission and suspension in this kit is really very simple, but the detail is top shelf. So there's no worries here.  Uploaded with ImageShack.us6. This is the first time I have done painting and masking of the visors, I'm pretty happy with the result and luckily the masking held up. The driver and commander hatches work. So those with the figure painting skills could really add another dimension to their Strykers if they add driver and commander.  Uploaded with ImageShack.us7. I made things difficult for myself when I didn't leave some gaps while gluing the OVEs (On Vehicle Equipment?), so my shovel and axe don't have any straps securing them. Bummer.  Uploaded with ImageShack.us8. I really like the look of the scratched front part of the vehicle, but I think I may have over done it for such a new vehicle.  Uploaded with ImageShack.us9. Based on the pictures of the actual vehicle, the disc would have some scratches as is housed the metal cable for towing? Likewise I applied light scratchs in places where I think the metal cable would be in contact with the Stryker.  Uploaded with ImageShack.us10. Last picture, did I mention this is my favourite part? The tow rings are a real PITA but all Strykers have them, what to do?  Uploaded with ImageShack.usOk that wraps up my Stryker ATGM. I would say this is my most enjoyable build (because I tried new things?) so far. If you ask me about the kit, I would say this is a very enjoyable kit if you are the kind of modeller who appreciates a well engineered kit and have the time to slowly build it. There maybe more parts than the usual equivalent Tamiya kit (definitely less than Trumpeter's), but the parts fit precisely. If I come across a Stryker ATGM kit on sale, I would be tempted to get another one since I enjoyed it so much this time.
